Southern Star September Newsletter
Hello Southern Star
I want to thank all those that supported this month’s recruiting efforts during School Night for Scouting. We ended August 2016 with a total of 623 Scouts. Due to your efforts we now have 779 Scouts in the program, 412 of those being Cub Scouts.
Typically, units will lose 30% of their membership during the next few months. Going camping is what they signed up for and there are several events around the corner such as Spook-o-ree at Camp Wisdom the weekend of 28 – 30 October. Cub Scouts can attend Parent-n-Pal as a pack, den, or individual family. The ultimate camping experience is one-on-one with your son creating lasting memories. Moms or Dads or both can attend. However, another adult family member may attend in place of a parent. (**Note: If there are two Scouts in your family, it is okay to attend with one parent)
Important: ONLY registered Cub Scouts CAN attend camp (no siblings).
Online registration is available at: https://circle10.camp-master.com/default.aspx
